For Taria Battle, C.R.N.P., pursuing a nursing career in womenâs health was an easy decision.
âThe joy of providing care and educating women about their health guided me to this career,â Battle said. âI plan to make education the foundation of my patient interactions. Itâs important that my patients have the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding their physical and mental wellness.â
Battle grew up in Mobile and is the first person in her family to pursue a career in healthcare. She knew she wanted to be a nurse and enrolled at the University of South Alabama College of Nursing.
The schoolâs exceptional reputation is the reason she chose to attend.
âThe faculty and staff at the College of Nursing shapes our future nurses to excel in their careers,â she said. âI am grateful that I received an education at USA, and Iâm able to use my knowledge to help patients live healthier lives,â she said.
After graduation, Battle held several positions at USA Health including working in wound care at University Hospital and in the labor and delivery unit at Childrenâs & Womenâs Hospital.
Battle now works at Childrenâs & Womenâs Hospital on the fourth floor. She is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, call the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at (251) 415-1496.
